We did it! The Perrys have bought their first home. It’s a beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-bath home on an acre lot in an amazing neighborhood near many of our friends. We closed on Friday and are beginning to move today. There are so many wonderful features about our new house; things like a fully fenced in back yard with a playset for the kids, whirlpool tub for Mommy, and separate 2-car garage/shop for Daddy. But truthfully, the single greatest feature of our new home is that it’s ours. It is our home. It’s not a nice place we rent from someone else, it’s ours. And forever and ever it always will be. Honey, we’re home!
Good morning, Piper
This morning before Mommy woke up baby Piper and Daddy spent some time finding our hands. I think we pretty well know where they are now. Maybe tomorrow morning we’ll look for our feet.
Snow Day
What a GREAT day! The first snowfall of 2010; Mommy, Daddy, Liam, and Piper all home to enjoy it. Scootter and Page joined us for some fun in the snow. We took turns shooshing each other down the driveway on the sled. I can’t think of a better way to ring in the new year. Lots of pics over on the photos page. Check ‘em out! http://perryfamily.smugmug.com/2010/Snow-Day/
Superman
Check out that Superman leap from the diving board! This was the pool party on Sunday for all the kids from Vacation Bible School. A big thanks to Mrs. Kristen and all the volunteers that made FUMC VBS a hit! And thanks to the Murray Country Club for hosting our party. There was pizza and swimming for all and everyone had a great time. Can’t wait for VBS next year!
Gone fishin’
Saturday was Murray Parks’ annual event “Hooked on Fishing not on Drugs.” It’s a free fishing event at Imes’ Farm. There’s plenty of free snacks and food, the kids get a free t-shirt and (really nice) tackle box. Several of the FLW fishing pros brought their boats and signed autographs. (Liam’s favorite was the “Pop-Tarts boat.”) Ducks Unlimited even set up a compound bow archery range for kids. I think we spent most of our time there. Looks like lil’ Robin Hood’s gonna need his own bow.
Liam caught 3 fish on his own (look closely at the picture) and the only sad part of the day was that Granddad wasn’t there to fish with him. Daddy tried to be a good fishin’ buddy, but when it comes to fishing there’s just no substitute for Granddad.
Check out all the photos on our photo page.
