On the contrary, it's filled with professional individuals looking to network between companies and organizations. And it's completely functional. It's a site with a mission statement and it fulfills that statement completely. Facebook, on the other hand, is a distraction in a dotcom; rife with zombies, li'l green patches, and hottie pricing. It's a social network, not a professional network. LinkedIn is a professional network. The difference to many is subtle, I'm sure. And the y-gens might gloss it over wondering why you can't poke your boss or send possible employers flair. But trust me, it's fully functional and greatly populated.
